From Mountain to Sea - the very best of Scotland
You can roam for miles across great estates, ancient forests and vast dunes and stunning views. It’s a place for big skies and wide horizons loved for its fresh clean air. With countless castles and historic sites, traditional distilleries and breweries you have endless opportunities to explore and get a Taste of Scotland.
In Scotland, we know good food! In recent years there has been an explosion in the number of food & drink producers in the area. From the fines seafood and game to the wonderful cheeses and fresh produce all washed down with a fine drink. Not only does the region have outstanding Whiskys but also a host of breweries and gin distillers. This now means that Aberdeenshire has a great selection of food and drink festivals through out the year.
The Grampian region of Scotland covers a huge area of land which includes lochs, mountains, forest, sea and rivers. As a result there is a tremendous variety of wildlife including a number of nature reserves such as the Fowlsheugh Nature Reserve, Donmouth Nature Reserve and Glen Tanner to name but a few. With more than a dozen locations for you to get close to Scottish wildlife, you'll be sure to tick off some of the native sea birds in the bird guidebooks.
The River Don is one of Scotland's treasures for anglers looking for Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout. You can learn to fly fish by taking a course with one of the experts at Glen Tanar Estate for example but be sure to adhere to the areas conservations codes, catch and release only please.
