Celebrating tourism in Aberdeen
The Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards were held in November 2019 showcasing the best and brightest businesses and individuals working in tourism and hospitality. These awards are a highlight and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the good things happening in region.
There are a variety of categories including best accommodation, attractions, restaurants and pubs and festivals & events. Businesses and individuals who are nominated have a rigorous evaluation process including undercover visits and interviews. Grampian Escapes and Tours were chosen as a finalist in the best heritage tourism experience category. We are delighted to say we won!
Here are some of the other category winners:

The next step will be to represent Aberdeen city and shire at the Scottish Thistle Awards in Edinburgh this march. There the winners from each of Scotland’s regional awards ceremonies will compete for the Scottish Award. Fingers crossed for us, there is stiff competition from each region.
